Make Believe, a singing duo based in the San Jose, CA. area, whose music is best characterized as Latin Freestyle. The duo is Damon Cain, an award winning DJ since 1983, writer and vocalist who began his recording career in 1989 with the eventual release of his 1st regional hit, "In the Depths of Sorrow" in 1991. Danny Sarinana, a versatile writer and vocalist, who began his recording career with the release of, "Visions of You" in 1990, while he was the lead vocalist of the group NVS. Damon and Danny met in 1991 and began working together in 1992. Realizing that they both shared a passion for Freestyle and R&B ballads, they decided to engage in a project that Damon had done some preliminary work on. Thus, the birth of Make Believe. Damon and Danny grew up in the barrios of San Jose and Sunnyvale, CA., respectively. Danny has been involved in music since the age of seven learning to play bass, guitar, and serving as lead vocalist for several bands while growing up. Today he is a probation counselor at Juvenile Hall. His goal is to help youth make a positive turn, which may have strayed from the law. Damon got started in the music business DJing weddings, house parties etc. He has won many DJ battles, including a trip to New York City to DJ at the Palladium in 1992. This trip helped to launch his singing career, motivating him to expand his horizons within music. Today he continues mobile and Club DJing as well as utilizing his skills as a part-time Remix Engineer for Main Source Entertainment. Both Damon and Danny have numerously volunteered for benefit performances in the community. They are equally eager to lend a helping hand by serving as positive role models for youth in their community whenever possible. Damon Cain and Danny Sarinana demonstrate that they are very talented vocalists/musicians with a great deal of promise. Both deliver exceptional harmonies, melodies and creativity in their musical production and poetic writing.
