One thing that many people often do not realize is that behind every great movie, play, song, television or cable show there is not only the actor who plays a role, recording artists that sings or raps a song, a television or cable show host. There is also the writer, director, producer or playwright whose talent and experience can turn an ordinary movie, play, song, television or cable show into a monster hit. NELSON “FFWD” CRUZ is such a man. Shannon's, “Let The Music Play” Has also been featured in such major motion pictures as: “The Crying Game”, “Knights Of The City”, “Dance Music”, an overseas release, which also featured another song mixed by Chris Barbosa and NELSON “FFWD” CRUZ: “On The Upside” by Xena on Emergency Records which featured the lead vocals of Lisa Fischer. NELSON “FFWD” CRUZ also discovered Brenda K. Starr for Mirage/Atlantic Records. Brenda K. Starr has entertained the world with both her English and Spanish vocal talents for years. Recently Brenda released her new Latin/Salsa CD “Petalos de Fuego” after her two pervious Latin/Salsa CDs “No lo Voy A Olvidar” and “Te Sigo Esperando” went gold in three months and platinum within seven months. “Petalos de Fuego” is also selling at the speed of light. And also, as everyone knows, Brenda K. Starr brought the world of pop music Mariah Carey. Which on several occasions, during interviews, Mariah Carey herself has been quoted expressing her gratitude towards Brenda K. Starr. Furthermore, NELSON “FFWD” CRUZ was the first musical executive and record producer to discover, work with or give a musical opportunity to the following recording artists: Magic Juan from Proyecto Uno on H.O.L.A. Recordings., Pickles from Fulanito on Cutting Records., Jorge Luis on H.O.L.A. Recordings/Fever Records. Jorge Luis was formerly the first male recording artist signed to and released on Nelson “FFWD” Cruz's record label, Cruzin’ Nelson Records and Filmworks under the recording name of George Anthony with the hit song: “I Love You.” Cruzin’ Nelson Records and Filmworks was manufactured and distributed by MicMac Records. NELSON “FFWD” CRUZ together with Arthur Baker, then wrote, produced and mixed for John Rocca, formerly with the recording group: Freez, Which also scored with the #1 hit song: “I.O.U.” NELSON “FFWD” CRUZ once again scored it big when together with: Oscar “Scar” Pabon, Allan Speers, Mirko Limoni, Daniele Davoli and Valerio Semplici, NELSON “FFWD” CRUZ CO-wrote the #1 monster hit song: “Strike It Up” for Blackbox - Martha Wash on: De Construction/BMG/RCA Records.
