{Victor Zapata} Victor Zapata was born in the Dominican Republic and raised in New Jersey. Victor began his musical career singing back up for some of the biggest names in Latin Music. Gigging in the local NJ scene, Victor would always cross paths with both Tony G. and Tyree. After years of singing background, in the spring of 2000, Tony and Tyree asked Victor if he would be interested in starting his own group where he could bring his Latin influences to an already diverse sound. Victor was elated and the new Nu Image was formed. Victor brings such a unique sound to the groups vocal chemistry. Also a great writer, Victor has CO wrote many songs for the album as well. Passing up singing background on several Latin and pop tours shows Victor's commitment to Nu Image. "I feel that this was a great opportunity for myself as well as the group as a whole. We really took our time to find our strengths and have developed our own collective flavor" Getting to know each other's abilities in the studio and then creating around those abilities is what made this project so special. This is the flavor that you can hear on not only the single "I'll Always Love You" but in the album "Then and Now" / Personal Side: Victor is a Gemini Interests include music, writing, and movies / Favorite Movie: Titanic / Musical Inspirations: George LaMond, TKA, Huey Dunbar. {Tony G} Original member of the group Nu Image, Tony G. was born and raised in Paterson, NJ. From the age of eleven till the present, Tony always had a knack for both writing and singing. In 1998, Tony along with childhood singing mate Tyree Hernandez decided to take their talent and refine it to form the group Nu Image. Tony G. also being a talented songwriter behind the groups, first release "Tears In My Eye's" and their follow up single "Sounds Of Love," searched for a producer that could bring the melodic texture to his songs but also create a driving rhythm that could give the group the identity that they were in thirsting for. In 1999, Tony G. and Tyree were introduced to up and coming producer Pompeo Messano. Pompeo already had a buzz on his production and engineering work with local talent. Later that year Tony and Tyree were introduced to Latin recording artist Victor Zapata, and the Nu Image group evolved in its current formula. Together, the four of them meshed with each other and CO-wrote and CO-produced the first Nu Image single entitled "I'll Always Love You." The album is entitled Nu Image "Then and Now," was produced by Pompeo Messano and Nu Image. Tony G. wrote and CO-wrote 10 tracks on the album and would always upload their demos to their website to get early fan reaction. Tony G. and Nu Image as a group strongly believe that their fans are a big part of their music and will always have time to take a picture, sign a photo, CD etc. To Nu Image, the fans are #1. After the group's first regional tour, Tyree decided to move to South Carolina. Tyree got a chance to work on his writing skill working on various projects in South Carolina R&B scene. In the summer of 2001 Tyree moved back to New Jersey to collaborate on the groups next project. With the R&B influence that Tyree acquired from South Carolina with the Pop flare that Tony G. brought, combined with Latin singer Victor Zapata, they collectively knew that they had a formidable sound. Tyree has contributed his writing to the album by CO writing a number of tracks on the Nu Image album which is set for release in the summer of 2003.
