Seduction was the result of a girl-group brought together by C & C Music Factory "mega" producers: Robert "Robi-Rob" Clivilles, & the late David Cole, who were already responsible for many dance hits for artists including The Cover Girls & Lydia Lee Love. Although not "exactly" Freestyle, these girls took it to another level which was heavily influenced by R&B & Hip-Hop, in a way like Lisette Melendez. The members of the first batch consisted of Michelle Visage (1968), Idalis DeLeon (1966), & April Harris (1967). The group released a few "big" singles - "(You're My One & Only) True Love," "Heartbeat," "Could This Be Love," and the #2 Billboard club smash "Two To Make It Right." In 1989, they released their highly popular album, "Nothing Matters Without Love." The title track was a featured song on the album & was written by Andy Panda. Their album sounded like a combination of The Cover Girls, En Vogue, & TLC, respectively. In 1990, Idalis left the group & Sinoa Loren stepped in her place. Unfortunately, as successful as it was, their "Nothing Matters Without Love" album was their first & last. So where are they now, you ask? Well, after her life as part of Seduction, Michelle did a track with TKA called "Crash...(Have Some Fun)," and she also became the featured vocalist for the group, S.O.U.L. S.Y.S.T.E.M. Together with S.O.U.L. S.Y.S.T.E.M., they recorded the song "It's Gonna Be A Lovely Day," which appeared on "The Bodyguard" movie soundtrack. In addition to being a vocalist, Michelle is also known for her TV appearances. She became the co-host on VH-1's "The RuPaul Show," which starred no other than the very glamorous RuPaul his/herself (of course). She has also been featured on VH-1's "Where Are They Now" special, as well as appeared on such talk shows such as the Ricki Lake Show. Michelle's currently headlining her own morning show at a popular southern California radio station. To get more information and pictures on Michelle, check out the Yahoo! group totally dedicated to her at http://groups.yahoo.com/group/michellevisage. As for the other members, well Idalis De Leon has hit TV and the big screen. After her stint with the group, she became a VJ for MTV, and also appeared on FOX network's, "Living Single" (which starred Queen Latifah and Kim Fields). Idalis' movie credits include "B.A.P.S" and "Mean Men." As for Idalis' replacement, Sinoa, she made her cameo in the action flick, "The Shadow." Not to be left behind, like her former band mates, April has also done a few appearances on the big screen with her cameo in the "off-beat" horror movie, "Popcorn." Performances by Seduction these days seem to only feature original member, April Harris (along with two other girls - gotta keep the trio image). Most recent performances to feature the "Seduction" name includes Sal Abbatiello/Fever Records' anniversary bash at New York's Club Exit back in October 8th of 2000 and KDON's (Salinas, CA) "2nd Annual Freestyle Explosion" show held in October 27th of 2002. In 2002, April Harris started her own label, AVH Entertainment and under the new lable, she reformed the group with herself along with Maria Paterno and Nancy Towers as the new Seduction. In July of 2003, their first single was released with success having debuted at #3 on the Billboard Dance Chart. The single was later followed up with "Feel Brand New" in 2004 which features a remix by Junior Vasquez. In a joint venture with Manhattan-based Waako Records, plans for a full album release is in the works. April Harris has written most of the songs on the album. “The original group had a pop-dance appeal. We were children back then. We’ve grown up and our music reflects that. Today, we have a more sensual urban-dance appeal.” Seduction is back for the millennium! This exciting pop-dance trio is on the road again with all their hits (Heartbeat, It Takes Two, Could This Be Love, You’re My One & Only) and April Harris (the original lead vocalist). These three sexy, charismatic performers couple youthful energy with sophistication, a combination that has allowed them to captivate audiences in the US and abroad. Seduction has maintained an incredible fan base while opening for Lisa Lisa, Stevie B, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Vanessa Williams, Aerosmith, The Sugar Hill Gang, C&C Music Factory, RuPaul, Crystal Waters and more. The girls have appeared on Entertainment Tonight, VH-1, Soul Train, Show Time at the Apollo, The Disney Channel, BET, MTV, Live with Regis, Joan Rivers Show, Nickelodeon and CNN Entertainment. Expect to hear more from and about this hot trio early 2003 as they prepare to seduce music lovers with a new single and full-length CD.
