First of all I want to personally thank everyone who has support me these years through emails and seeing your faces at the clubs and events and I try my hardest to return the favor through my music, or even just to say Hi back through emails when I have time. I'll try not to let you all down! The About part.. My name is Janelle Tsujiuchi and when I am DJing, they call me "The Mixtress". I started DJing in 1995 with my best friend Mikey (Mike Dizzle), who took me to all his family gigs, events and clubs (weddings, etc.). Thanks to Jazzy Jim and Michael Martin, in 1996, I landed a weekly Friday show with St. John on Wild 94.9 called "Fridays Fierce Freestyle". Since then I have worked really hard towards improving my mixing skills, and also learn from the "big dogs" how to manage in the competitive industry. I have also had 4 CD's released to date under the Freestyle Genre. I plan to release just promos (Hip Hop and House/Dance) to the clubs I spin at, so if you ever see me in the clubs, bug me about a CD ok! Because of my Freestyle releases, many people think all I do is mix freestyle music. It is my background and my roots, since that is where I spent the first 5 years of my mixing life. But a couple years ago, I started mixing the phat beats with Hip Hop and I love it. It is so much more challenging (because of the tempo ranges with Hip Hop and R&B). I do still love the dance music and more uptempo tunes, so I'm waiting for that opportunity again! For me right now, I feel fortunate to not only mix the music, but I enjoy listening to it too. My mixing format is a wide range of Hip Hop, House, Trance, Old School (cuz I am old!), Disco and all that mainstream stuff that's hot! I still do alot of mobile events such as weddings, birthday parties, and other events for many age groups and I am having fun. There were rumors and speculations that I am married. Well by the time people found out I got married, I got divorced. I grew up in the Yay (SF and Daly City) and now reside in the East Bay doin' new things, meeting new people, friends and concentrating on raising my beautiful son "Bubba", who is my world!
