TRuVOICES has been a journey that began as a simple reunion between two old time friends. After having spent most of their time on the road touring America and the world for many years, Aby and Diamond Boy Luis finally found themselves back at home in New York City during the Winter of 1999. A chance encounter reunited the old friends as they almost literally bumped into each other one day in front of Rockefeller Center. After reminiscing on old shows, tours, and other road stories for a while, Diamond Boy Luis took the opportunity to invite Aby to join him in a writing session. Having discussed the idea in passing on the road years before but never having had the time, Aby was quick to jump at this opportunity now. After a 6 hour writing session, and coming up with what was to be their first song, "I WANNA GO BACK", it was clear that the chemistry and great combination of writing talents was there. It was on that very day that they decided to team up as a duo; what was eventually to be known as T.V., or,"TWO VOICES"; a name given to them by New York City Disc Jockey Broadway Bill Lee of 103.5 WKTU. From there, the boys then took their new material and put it into the hands of old time friend and producer extraordinare Mauro DeSantis who's list of work include Lionel Richie, Brandy, Earth Wind & Fire, Jay Z, Brenda K. Starr & "WOMEN IN LOVE" by Ariel to mention a few. TWO VOICES was a new sound and the Latin duo quickly made head way in the New York scene, but the problem they encountered was that the duo sounded like a group. After a few disappointing meetings with different record labels, all of them bringing up this point, the boys agreed that they needed to become a group. From there, Aby and Luis recruited the talents of known back up dancer and up coming baritone singer DavidM who quickly adjusted and clicked with TRuVOICES new stilo. After a late studio session in early Fall of 2000 Diamond Boy Luis’ older brother David appeared at the groups session. Fate once again, had lead TRuVOICES in the right direction. As it turned out David's vocal skills were exactly what the boys were looking for to be complete. He was the missing link of this incredible project that you've come to love and now known as the Latin Pop Group Sensation TRuVOICES.
